As a Key Account Manager, Financial Services, you’re stepping into a pivotal role where your knowledge of the industry will shine. You’ll manage relationships across our Financial Services client base who sit across the UK’s Independent Financial Advice and Wealth Management community – one of the most dynamic and fast-changing sectors of the UK economy. You’ll be reporting directly to both the Creative Director and Commercial Director. Your role will be to manage existing key clients and ensure they are enthralled by their experience with us. You will be deft at identifying opportunities for business growth. Providing exceptional results for our Financial Services clients is at the heart of what we do, making you an essential cog in our well-oiled machine.

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for understanding clients’ needs and developing plans to address them.

The role of Key Accounts Manager encompasses:

  • Being the primary point of contact and building long-term relationships with key clients.
  • Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Clearly communicating the progress of campaigns/briefs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Forecasting and tracking key account metrics.
  • Updating industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations etc.
  • Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis.
  • Responsible for working with the Sales team to onboard and integrate new clients within the Financial Services sector and developing existing client relationships.
  • Liaising between the client and internal teams – advocating for the client whilst understanding the business’s needs.

Key attributes that will make you successful in this dynamic role:

  • You have 3 years of relationship management experience with a Financial Services background desirable: we’re an established business with a startup mentality, meaning you can help carve your own role in the sector you know well.
  • You have proven account management or other relevant experience: you will be working with high-value clients and partners whose mandates generate large revenues for A Story Called.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal skills: these will help you build bridges and foster client relationships.
  • You are a strategic planner: clients need their campaigns to be managed effectively and efficiently. Delivering results that resonate.
  • You are a proactive force: being self-motivated is your mantra. Quick decisions and resourceful solutions are your trademarks.
  • You are an organizational virtuoso: from digital tools to old-school diaries, your organizational prowess keeps everything on track.
  • You are a people whisperer: your affinity for connecting with people makes you an ultimate ‘people person.’
